6 tips to develop writer’s mindset
The scariest moment is always just before you start.Stephen King
I believe that everyone is a writer.I believe that everyone has a story. It’s just a pin point of that moment when you write at least 250–500 words in your diary consistently.
Writers have to think out of the box. They have to create their strategies. They have to think about their words before writing.
These are some ways for a writer’s mindset from my journey of writing.
- Generate idea muscles in your brain -This comes by practising and manifestations.Daily write ideas in your diary.Make time to write and whatever comes into your mind just write.Don’t pressurise your brain just treat softly and write.
“The idea muscle must be exercised everyday.Even if you’ve come up with ideas every day of your life,it will atrophy if you give up a two-week rest.”-James Altucher
2.Indulge your idea completely and get the points on that idea-Try to carry your phone or diary all the time as some points click at any time so that you can write them down quickly. My phone or diary is always with me whenever any thoughts or ideas come into my mind related to my idea I just pen them down whatever I am carrying. This helps you in collecting the matter and will not miss it.
3.Wandering on that idea-Whenever you are doing some unimportant work or in an autopilot mode wander on your idea. You will come out with so many points on that topic.
4.Become a voracious reader-All writers are readers.Give time for reading.I like to read non fiction, self development books. You have your own choice and interests,if you have an interest in fiction you can read those but read.
5.Take note of everything-If you read something then try to take notes of important points. Those points help in making your topic strong.
6.Writers have to first work on themselves then only they can become a writer.-Yes! If you want to become one then first try to do journaling daily.Consistent practice of writing and thinking just like a writer makes you a writer
Don’t think about anything, just write, write and write. For writing foremost thing is an idea if you have an idea then no other thing will stop you in becoming you a writer.
One has to give time to become a writer.Writers become writers when they give 5–10–15–20 years for their writing.
No one becomes a writer in one day. It’s a slow and steady process. You have to work in that direction.
As I am also on the same journey as the writer’s.Some days there is lots to write, the other there is nothing to write, sometimes I fill you 2–3 pages within minutes, sometimes I just watch the blank page for minutes and hours.
Keep your mindset always positive and see the change.
